Hello 2016! Hope you had an excellent Christmas break and an even better start into the new year. Eating healthy on the holidays is always a challenge, I also fell into the over eating and enjoyed too much the resting days on the sofa binging series on TV.
But now it is time to revitalise and get back on track so I want to share with you these drinks I have been obsessed with lately! All of them are so tasty, nutritions, healthy and easy to make I really wish you can try them all and enjoy them as much as I do.
Carrot detox juice
This juice is loaded with so much nutrients. It is the cleanse juice of excellence - famous for help to fight illnesses. Carrot juice is a high source of antioxidants.
- 3 carrots
- 2 apples
- 1 orange
- 1 small piece of ginger
Put all ingredients through a juicer.
Mango vitality smoothie
Great for a morning smoothie packed with vitamins and minerals for an energised day. Mango is loaded with carotenoids, vitamin C, copper and enzymes to improve digestion. This smoothie will help you protect against the cold weather.
- 1 cup of nut milk
- 1/2 peeled mango
- 1 large kale leave
- 1 banana
- 1 peeled orange
- juice of half a lemon
- handful of cashew nuts
Add all ingredients and blend well.
Matcha green tea
I just love the green colour of matcha, loaded with antioxidants it is a great energy and metabolism booster. The taste is something very special and could be bitter, I sweeten it with a few drops of agave syrup. It works great with any creamy nut milk, my favourite is a mix of coconut and rice milk.
- 2 teaspoons of matcha green tea
- 1 cup of warm nut milk
- few drops agave syrup
Whisk the powder well with the milk, traditionally it is mixed with a bamboo whisk for a smoother mix of the matcha powder and the milk.
