Summer is the perfect time to enjoy delicious in season fruit. They don't only taste good, they are also a great way to keep hydrated in the warmer months.
Berries are my favourite fruits! They are rich in nutrients, antioxidants and phytochemicals, which help prevent the effects of aging, cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure. Also very low in calories and full of sweet and color. Mango is the perfect summer flavour but it is also super healthy! It has great benefits to the skin and eyes and helps alkalizing the whole body.
In this recipe, I use the Zoku Quick Pop Maker. I bought it in sale a couple years ago and it turned out to be so awesome! All you have to do is leave the container in the freezer and pour any popsicle mix into it. Wait 7-9 minutes and you got a frozen popsicle!
As always, try to use as much organic ingredients as possible. Especially, the fruits that you cannot peel off like berries.
Hope you make these popsicles and they help you chill in the hot summer!
Ingredients (6 popsicles)
- Handful of mix berries
- 1 Kiwi
- 1 teaspoon of orange zest
- 1 teaspoon of coconut cream
- 1/2 mango
- juice of 1/2 lime
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
- 1/2 cup of nut milk
In a blender mix the berries, kiwi orange zest and coconut cream for the red layer. For the yellow layer, separately blend the mango, lime juice, chia and nut milk. Pour the berries mix into a popsicle container and freeze, then add the mango mix and freeze again.
